1960's Parisian Chic

I wore this over the weekend to a family member’s wedding. The dress was a thrift find- only $5! Originally it was a maxi dress, but I shortened it to a mini for a more ’1960’s teenage bubblegum’ vibe. 

The strangest part about this dress is inside the label says ‘Fashioned by Betty D.’ Last season on Mad Men, Betty Draper (played by January Jones) wore an identical dress while pregnant! So cool!

This outfit makes me feel like I should be in the Miss Dior Cherie campaigns! All I need are a bunch of balloons! :)

Paper Hermes Bracelets

Made this paper collier de chien bracelet from Hermes’ facebook fan page- they are available to print out. All you do is cut & glue them yourself! They’re similar to origami & are a lot of fun! You can download them here!

I've been wearing my new Levi's jeans almost everyday! They did a great job with the fit and fabric choice- they really feel like an old pair of your boyfriends well loved jeans.

The Striped Shirt: 3 Different Ways

This is one of my favorite shirts for so many reasons- it was inexpensive, it can be dressed up or down and it goes great with anything and everything!

The Party Look

Wearing a black tulle dress from Target with the striped top. I pulled the top in the back to make it more of a crop top. The vintage harness adds an edge to this pretty 1950s girly look and the hot pink lipstick gives the a pop of color!

The Coco Look

I call this the CoCo look because it reminds me of Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel- the wide legged khaki pants balance out the horizontal lines of the striped top. The red lipstick gives it a classic touch.

The Every Day Casual Look

The stripe top is paired with a white blazer and cuffed ‘boyfriend’ pair of Levi’s to give it a modern feel. The pink scarf gives femininity to this rather tomboyish look.

It's Summertime

This is my favorite summertime dress! Ever since I was 15, I've always wanted a lace dress that reminded me of Cecila Lisbon from Virgin Suicides. This is the closest I've found to a summer lace dress. I love the patches- there is a butterfly and a psychedelic 'love' patch. I like these Minnetonka boots a lot but I never find anything to wear them with...Any suggestions?

She's A Rainbow

This past week, I've been going through a vinyl phase. I'm trying to build up my own collection of LPs that aren't my parents. My current obsession is the Bee Gees- "Bee Gees 1st" Album from 1967. The artist who drew the album artwork, Klaus Voormann, also did the Beatles "Revolver".
