Secret Colours
My friends are in the band Secret Colours and I was asked to be the model for their debut album cover. It was so exciting because I got to design the fabric and actually make the dress from a vintage pattern. The pattern of the dress is inspired by the psychedelic movement of the 1960’s. It’s so badass!
If you live in the Chicago-Area, you can catch Secret Colours with Gold Motel on June 11th at Lincoln Hall!

The Met's Amazing Collection
This morning I was browsing through New York's Metropolitan Museum's digital collection database. According to their website, the Costume Institute has a collection of over 31,000 costumes and accessories! They have so many amazing pieces- I had to share!
Rudi Gernreich, 1967
These two dresses are my personal favorite! The cut outs are still futuristic even 40+ years later!
Yohji Yamamoto, S/S 1993.
Such a fantastic knit! I am so crazy for this dress.
Richard Tam for House of Balenciaga, 1968.
These platforms have always been a favorite of mine. The design was so modern for it's time.
Philip Treacy for Alexander McQueen. “Chinese Garden” S/S 2005.
Junya Watanabe for Comme des Garçons F/W 2000–1.
